Check out QuiBids’ new look!

Have you heard the news about QuiBids’ big redesign? We went through and updated the entire site with newer, more powerful features and an overall slimmer, cleaner look. It’s QuiBids streamlined for your convenience!

While you can access plenty of information about all the specific improvements at the QuiBids blog, we’re just going to point out a few of the most immediate visual differences here. For more in-depth explanation regarding new features, you might check out the landing page we set up to educate our customers; this blog post will take a look at the big cosmetic changes from QuiBids 1.0 to QuiBids 2.0.

Let’s start with the homepage. Here’s old QuiBids:

…and new QuiBids:

The biggest, most noticeable difference between the two is the placement of the search bar. One of the focuses of the redesign was to put a premium on our search feature, so we went ahead and bumped it up to the top of the homepage. It’s on every other page on the site, and can be used to find specific auctions, products, and information like QuiBids 101  and our FAQs!

Next up is the auction block. Here’s how it used to look:

…and after the redesign:

As you can see, the new look is much less clunky and takes up far less space than the old one. As an added capability of the redesign, you can now drag and drop auctions into whatever order you like, rearranging how our site looks to suit your convenience.

The other big cosmetic change is on the auction pages themselves. Let’s compare and contrast the old look:

with the new one.

You’ll notice that the Buy Now option is much more prominent on QuiBids 2.0! We built it that way to stress to our customers that shopping with QuiBids is a risk-less endeavor! You’ll also see a much more vibrant bidding history — it’s way easier on the eyes than the old, gray, text-heavy version!

Happy bidding!

QuiBids racks up the awards!

One of the tougher parts about working for QuiBids’ public relations office is keeping track of all the awards we get nominated for! It’s just part of the job when you work for a company that takes an innovative auction model and finesses it into something reliable and consistent that customers can count on for great savings. It’s a happy marriage between modernization and Midwestern sensibility.

That all said, we’ve recently been recognized by three very different entities for three very different — but interrelated — aspects of our business. We’ll spell it out for you below.

2012 Innovator of the Year
A bus full of QuiBids employees — including three members of our executive team — made the near-two-hour drive from Oklahoma City to Tulsa to accept this distinction from The Journal Record, Oklahoma City’s business newspaper. It was a fun trip to accept an award recognizing Oklahoma’s biggest individual and business innovators across a ton of different fields: non-profit, biotechnology, agricultural, and more. We’re proud to be counted among a terrific lineup of companies and people like AliveCor, Wayne Krehbiel, and Surgery Logistics LLC, that are working to improve the quality of life for all Oklahomans!

2012 Best Places to Work
More recently, we were honored — for the second time running! — by okcBIZ magazine as one of the state’s 30 Best Places to Work. We finished fourth in the Small/Medium Company category last year, so we’re anxiously awaiting the end of this month, when we find out how we finished in our second year of competition. In the meantime though, you should check out some of the fun we have with the products we sell, as that might help explain just why our employees like it here so much.

But really, here are the categories that BIZ, in partnership with Best Companies Group, use to evaluate who’s the tops in Oklahoma:
-Leadership and Planning
-Corporate Culture and Communications
-Role Satisfaction
-Work Environment
-Relationship with Supervisor

Once again, we’re hopeful for another big finish! Keep your fingers crossed until June 28, when okcBIZ announces the winners.

The 2012 Stevie Awards
And finally, this last one’s a biggie. QuiBids is in the running for the American Business Awards (affectionately known as the Stevies) Fastest-Growing Tech Company of the Year — Up to 2,500 Employees. We’re one of the smaller companies in the category, one of the few from outside of California, and the only one situated in the Midwest, but we’re hoping to take home the gold when we go out to San Francisco in September!
