Have you tried QuiBids yet? Whether you have or haven’t, it’s good to know it takes a certain amount of strategy to be successful. It’s an informational portal they’ve had since day one that gives a more in depth explanation of their services/features and also offers tips on how to participate on their site.
Some of the best tips given by QuiBids have been:
Buy Now – Don’t walk away empty-handed! QuiBids simply provides this safety net for all its users. Should you be in an auction and not win, you get to apply the real bids you spent in that auction, towards the price of the product. Make up the difference, and they’ll send you the product. Worst case scenario should be walking away with a product at its retail value.
Set Realistic Expectations – Don’t go into the site expecting to pay $0.01 for a laptop. It could happen and it has, however, that’s not the norm. Give yourself a budget, start small and build your way up.

New Badges on QuiBids
QuiBids has had Badges on its site for quite some time. It’s one of the ways it implements game-like mechanics into its site and keeps things entertaining. Who wouldn’t want to be awarded achievements for certain accolades on the site and get free bids while they’re at it?!
Get to da Choppah
After a pause in Badge production, QuiBids has rolled out the Get to da Choppah Badge, the 5,000th Bid Badge, the 10,000th Bid Badge, and the 25,000th Bid Badge. The Get to da Choppah Badge is one you can achieve by winning an auction or utilizing the Buy Now on any product in the remote control sub-category of the Sports and Recreation category. The payout is two free (a.k.a. voucher) bids. You can obtain the 5,000th Bid Badge by bidding (utilizing either real or voucher bids) the amount of times it says in its description, 5,000 times! This bid payout is 25 free bids too! Same goes with the 10,000th and 25,000th Bid Badges – you bid that many times collectively and you get these badges. Bid payouts are both 25 free bids. Big Savings on QuiBids Store
This just in – QuiBids implemented a new list in its Store (US Store only at this time) labeled Big Savings. The Big Savings list is one that features products for an even larger discounted price. Currently there are products for Home and Garden such as outdoor furniture, cooking and baking appliances and; Jewelry and Fashion items like designer sunglasses, totes, watches and more! And yes, there are plans to add additional categories of products in the future.
Big Savings came about as another way to provide QuiBids customers even more discounted products. Along with any purchase of items in the Big Savings list, come a certain number of free bids too. After all, it is in the Store.

Stop the bullies!
If you’ve been around the entertaining auction industry for long, you may have heard of the so called “colluders” or bullies that can rob the fun out of the overall auction experience. Colluders basically are those bidders who tag-team, on the side, with other bidders to gang up in an auction to win that particular auction. Other bidders may or may not know about this activity and when the collusion is taking place. It’s a rather tricky and shady bidding tactic. How does QuiBids keep track of who’s colluding?
In order to keep collusion under control, if Q can’t shut down all colluders, is simply the Terms and Condition that they have in place. Some of the factors such as having only one account per household helps. If there are multiple accounts tied to the same address, it sends QuiBids a red flag to keep a watch on that account(s). They also have a full compliance department that monitors all these accounts on a daily basis and takes many factors into account before they actively notify a user of their activity.
