Using The Bid-O-Matic On QuiBids

What happens when you are bidding on an auction on QuiBids.com” target=”_blank”>QuiBids and you need to grab a snack?  What do you do when nature calls and you bidding on an auction that you really want to win?  Even if you’re just feeling especially lazy, you can use the Bid-O-Matic to automatically place bids for you!  The Bid-O-Matic Lets you bid, even if you’re not sitting at your computer.  Even if you are not logged in!

Additionally, this feature can be helpful to use when bidding during odd hours.  If an auction is set to end at a time when you intend on being asleep, or at work, the Bid-O-Matic creates a perfect opportunity to participate in the auction without needing to be at your computer.

Another cool aspect of the Bid-O-Matic guarantees that your bids will be placed in the last 15 seconds.  There is no need to worry about a spotty internet connection, or potentially getting distracted.  The Bid-O-Matic is designed to do all of the bidding for you.

How do I use the Bid-O-Matic?

The Bid-O-Matic is located in the box under the Bidding History section of the auction.

In the Bid-O-Matic box above, find the area that says “BID FROM.”  Input the minimum auction price at which you want it to begin place bids.  If you don’t want to start bidding until the price reaches $1.00, then enter $1.00 in this box.  In the area that says “# OF BIDS,”  input the number of bids you’re prepared for the Bid-O-Matic to use.  Once the parameters are set, click the “Activate” button.  you can turn this feature off at any time by clicking the “Deactivate” button.

What about when two or more Bid-O-Matics are set to bid in the same price range?

If there are two or more Bid-O-Matics bidding in the same auction, a bid will be placed within the last 20 seconds just like if there was one Bid-O-Matic bidder. Only one bid from a Bid-O-Matic bidder will be placed at a time. The exact time that it bids varies – it can be anywhere between 0 and 20 seconds. We mix it up so that other bidders are unsure if a Bid-O-Matic will for sure hit or not. Once the Bid-O-Matic bid has been placed the timer jumps up to a maximum of 20 seconds. This is similar to the “Going Once…Twice…SOLD” approach of auctions.

Bid-O-Matic:  Additional Information

You may only bid between 3 and 25 bids at a time on our Bid-O-Matic System. One Bid-O-Matic bid will be used each time the timer drops below 20 seconds.  It will be used somewhere between 0 seconds and 20 seconds. You can only set one Bid-O-Matic at a time per auction. When your Bid-O-Matic uses all of the bids you placed, you may set your next Bid-O-Matic. If you de-activate your current Bid-O-Matic, the unused bids will be returned to your account.  All unused Bid-O-Matic bids at the time the auction ends will be returned to your account.
