If you’ve been around the entertaining auction industry for long, you may have heard of the so called “colluders” or bullies that can rob the fun out of the overall auction experience. Colluders basically are those bidders who tag-team, on the side, with other bidders to gang up in an auction to win that particular auction. Other bidders may or may not know about this activity and when the collusion is taking place. It’s a rather tricky and shady bidding tactic. How does QuiBids keep track of who’s colluding?
In order to keep collusion under control, if Q can’t shut down all colluders, is simply the Terms and Condition that they have in place. Some of the factors such as having only one account per household helps. If there are multiple accounts tied to the same address, it sends QuiBids a red flag to keep a watch on that account(s). They also have a full compliance department that monitors all these accounts on a daily basis and takes many factors into account before they actively notify a user of their activity.
